Vd Sanjay Mavinkurve was born in Mumbai to a Konkani Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family. He completed his preliminary education from St Joseph’s High School Valsad. He persued his Bahelors in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from OH nazar Ayurvedic Medical College Surat in 1988. For next 4-5 years he did General Practice in a village nearby but he soon realized that Allopathic medicines provided temporary relief to the patients with loads of side effects. He quit his practice and went about on a journey to acquire practical ayurvedic knowledge from eminent vaidyas in Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra. He also got the knowledge about locally growing medicinal plants and their practical utility. In 1994 he started making Ayurvedic oils in a 10/10 feet room with minimal equipment. He started by making KESH Hair oil our flagship product in a 5-liter vessel on a single burner domestic gas stove. He first tried the product on himself and his family members and got wonderful results. He then started to practice pure ayurvedic medicine. Finally, on 1st April 1995 Gudi Padwa (Hindu New Year) day he established this company and named it KALPATARU AYURVEDIC PHARMACY. Sadly, he breathed his last on the 26th Anniversary of the company he founded with such love and passion at a young age of 56.

Kalpataru Ayurvedic Pharmacy was established on 1st April 1995 by prominent Ayurvedic Vaidya Late Vd. Sanjay Chaitanya Mavinkurve in Valsad district of Gujarat state. The word meaning of KALPATARU according to Hindu mythology is a tree of heaven which has all the medicinal properties, it’s also a tree that fulfills wishes. With a very humble beginning in 1995, we are today a GMP ISO 9001-2015 certified company. We specialize in manufacturing Oils, Syrups, Tablets, Ointments & Herbal Cosmetics. We manufacture all our products by Shastrokta Paddhati i.e. by classical ayurvedic methodology due to which all our products have high efficacy and low to nil adverse effects. With constant R&D and Innovation we develop and shall continue developing products pertaining to the needs of our consumers. We believe in the concept of “Less is More” hence all our products have a certain number of ingredients in adequate quantity rather than adding a long list of ingredients in minimal quantity, due to this concept each of our products bring about the best of each added ingredient and altogether effectuate better health of the consumer.
